White Mandarin Vampire Crab (Geosesarma sp.) – White Claw Variant

The White Mandarin Vampire Crab is a fascinating semi-terrestrial Geosesarma species prized for its pale claws, striking contrast, and curious behavior. This beautifully marked crab is an excellent choice for paludariums and tropical riparium-style enclosures where it can explore both land and shallow freshwater areas.

Unlike fully aquatic crabs, Vampire Crabs spend the majority of their lives on land and require a humid enclosure with plenty of climbing surfaces, hiding places, mosses, botanicals, and leaf litter. When provided with a mature environment, they quickly become active and highly entertaining display animals.

In the aquarium hobby, Vampire Crab trade names and scientific identifications can vary between exporters and collectors. This particular variety is commonly associated with lighter white to beige claw coloration often linked to notophorum-type Geosesarma species.
